 FALL 2010

I am all about teaching the basics - the basics of drawing, the basics of color and the basics for pastel, oil and acrylic painting.  What I offer in my classes is the necessary groundwork for future artwork.  The importance of these basic skills cannot be overestimated.  Knowledge of these basic skills will provide you with the confidence to forge ahead with your artistic endeavors.

For beyond the basics, I am offering the ongoing Saturday class and portrait drawing/painting classes and plein air classes at Shelby Farms.  I love drawing and painting and want to share my knowledge with you.

                                                                                       DRAWING CLASSES

You absolutely CAN learn to draw.   I will teach you how to draw well by teaching you how to see differently. These classes are based on Betty Edwards' book, "The New Drawing On The Right Side Of The Brain". All of the basic skills you need to draw well are covered in this course.

I have been teaching drawing for 25 years and it is still thrilling to me to see each student’s progress and their amazement when they realize that they CAN DRAW! The class is open to anyone 12 or older who has never drawn or wants to improve their drawing skills. $170 for the course with a $40 deposit required to hold your place.  I am offering the same class at several different times to accommodate summer schedules.  All the drawing classes have a limit of 10 students.
